The Office of the Chief Economist provides publically accessible data on resources, energy, innovation and industry. These high-value resources allow the public to build upon our datasets in new and innovative ways.

Our publication and research papers also help bring these data sets to life and enhance discoverability. We also have access to a range of statistical assets such as the Business Longitudinal Analysis Data Environment (BLADE) and the Management Capability Survey that are currently under development.

    The Office of the Chief Economist has released the March 2017 edition of the Resources and Energy Quarterly, which provides a five year outlook for Australia’s major resource and energy commodities.

    The 2016 Australian Innovation System Report presents new indicators that measure and analyse the impact of innovation, focusing on networks and framework conditions which form the essence of the innovation system.
