The number of publications released is a measure of the quantity of research done in Australia. The number of citations can be used as a proxy measure for the impact of the research undertaken. See the Australian Innovation System Report for further information on research publications.
Tertiary completions measures the number of completions in a tertiary course at the undergraduate and postgraduate level. This measure can be filtered by subject area to see trends in completions in different fields of education.
To see the number of completions in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM), filter by subjects: agriculture, environmental and related studies; engineering and related technologies; information technology; and natural and physical sciences.
The term ‘researchers’ refers to professionals engaged in the creation of new knowledge, products, processes, methods and systems.Download CSV Data (119kb)
