Community Energy Efficiency Program Evaluation

This report presents the findings and recommendations arising from an impact evaluation of the Community Energy Efficiency Program. The program was introduced in 2012 as part of the Low Carbon Communities initiative. It was a competitive merit-based grants program that provided co-funding to local governments and non-profit community organisations to improve their energy efficiency. Under the program, a total of 153 projects were completed and $96.3 million was paid in grant funding. The evaluation was conducted by the Evaluation Unit in the Department of Industry, Innovation and Science. It was completed in April 2017.
