Increased investment in advanced manufacturing

Consultation papers released for Innovation Labs initiative and Automotive Engineering Graduate Program

The Department has released consultation papers on two key elements of the $100 million Advanced Manufacturing Fund:

  • $10 million Innovation Labs initiative, which will enhance manufacturing business capability in the digital age, while improving the use of existing innovation lab infrastructure by manufacturing SMEs, and the
  • $5 million Automotive Engineering Graduate Program, which aims to maintain the flow of highly trained engineers to the automotive design and engineering sector.

We encourage businesses and research institutions to help us make these programs as effective as possible, so please join the online discussion through our consultation links below:

The consultation period closes 19 March 2018.
