Latest NSRC data

The National Survey of Research Commercialisation (NSRC) survey collects data on the research collaboration and commercialisation activities of Australia’s publicly funded research organisations. This includes universities, publicly funded research agencies and medical research institutes. The survey was undertaken on a biennial basis until it moved to an annual collection cycle in 2015. The last survey collection was conducted in 2015 to collect 2014 data. The 2015 data collection will be undertaken over September and October 2016.

The data collection comprises the survey data and companion data from other collections such as the CRC Management Data, IP Australia and others. IP Australia data will be added to the collection shortly.

The 2014 survey population makeup included first time participation by the Australian Astronomical Observatory and the National Measurement Instrument (both PFRAs) and the Hudson Institute of Medical Research (an MRI). One university chose not to participate (Bond University) and a number of MRIs were dropped from the survey as they had been disbanded, merged or were otherwise no longer in scope.
