Prime Minister's Prizes for Science
Australia's most prestigious awards for excellence in science research and science education are a key part of the Inspiring Australia strategy to recognise and tell the story of Australia's achievements.
The Prime Minister’s Prize for Innovation was announced as a new prize in 2014 to recognise excellence in Australian research commercialisation resulting from the translational impact of applied science. It was awarded for the first time in 2015.
National Science Week
National Science Week is Australia’s annual celebration of science and technology and thousands of individuals get involved, taking part in more than 1000 science events across the nation.

Inspiring Australia has commissioned six expert working groups to report on specific areas of science engagement in Australia.
Their reports include key recommendations on how the science community can work together to improve science engagement.
