Australia and the United Kingdom signed the joint statement in Bletchley Park, UK on 1 November.

It outlines how our countries will work together to:

  • encourage investment between United Kingdom and Australian companies
  • share research and expertise.

This includes a Quantum Policy Dialogue made up of senior officials from both governments. The group will meet regularly to exchange information, identify practical quantum initiatives and review cooperation.

The joint statement with the United Kingdom follows a similar statement of cooperation signed with the United States in 2021.

These joint statements let us share quantum ideas and resources with like-minded countries, as well as help Australian quantum businesses access new markets.
