What we do
Our department's Shared Services Hub (the Hub) has delivered payroll shared services to government clients since 2017.
Delivering value in partnership
The Hub works in partnership with each client agency to deliver cost-effective Aurion based payroll services.
Our approach delivers benefits to each client agency, including:
- reduced duplication of effort
- reporting on accurate and meaningful payroll data
- centralised system upgrades and improvements
- expert advice on legislative compliance, systems, and transaction processing
- shared ownership of risk, with the Hub undertaking regular assurance activities to maintain accuracy levels
- collaboration across a government payroll community.

We deliver shared services to 16 client agencies, currently supporting around 15,000 staff. All on a full cost recovery basis.
