The GSTDF helps advance science and technology in areas of national importance.
It offers researchers and businesses an opportunity to collaborate with international partners in Brazil, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, the Republic of Korea, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
Australian researchers can submit an expression of interest (EOI) for grants from $100,000 to $1 million.
Projects must reflect one of these priority research areas:
- artificial intelligence (AI)
- advanced manufacturing
- RNA (including mRNA) vaccines and therapies
- hydrogen production
- quantum computing.
The Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering (ATSE) administers this fund in partnership with the Australian Academy of Science (AAS).
