The Australian Government has renewed a MoU with the Republic of Singapore, continuing a partnership that fosters innovation, science, technology and AI development.

Singed in Singapore on 16 December 2024, the MoU builds on an existing relationship. The 2 countries signed their last MoU in 2020.

The MoU will give a framework for better ways to work on civil applications of AI technology. This includes:

  • encouraging information sharing
  • facilitating increased access to AI technologies, market and talent
  • support for the commercialisation of AI applications
  • prioritising a human-centric approach to AI.

We look forward to working to leading safe and responsible AI efforts locally and abroad.
