The Australia and United Kingdom have signed a partnership agreement that will support the goals of both countries to advance decommissioning expertise and capabilities.
The agreement will help both nations to:
- encourage cooperation in areas including supply chains, knowledge, skills and financing
- support engagement between UK and Australian business engaged in decommissioning.
Australia and the UK intend to:
- establish a working group to develop a collaborative framework and partnership program
- identify viable decommissioning projects that would benefit from cooperation
- identify capability, equipment gaps and strengths
- share decommissioning expertise with each other.
