You now have the opportunity to apply for funding under the Modern Manufacturing Initiative (MMI) for the following sectors:
- space
- medical products
- resource technology and critical minerals processing.
If you have a manufacturing project in one of these sectors, you can apply for funding support under the:
- Manufacturing translation stream: which helps Australian manufacturers translate high quality research and ideas into commercial outcomes.
- Manufacturing integration stream: helps Australian manufacturers to access and propel their quality products and high value services into domestic and global supply chains.
Successful national manufacturing priority projects are eligible to receive funding of up to 50% of eligible project costs.
Sector specific road maps
An industry-led roadmap has been developed for each national manufacturing priority sector. These should be used to guide your application under the MMI.
This includes for:
- space
- medical products
- resource technology and critical minerals processing
The roadmaps set out industry and government plans to strengthen Australia’s manufacturing capability.
See all national manufacturing priority sector road maps.
Guidelines are now available for all six of the national manufacturing priority sectors for the Translation stream and Integration stream under the Modern Manufacturing Initiative (MMI).
Applications close 14 January 2022
