SaferAI for Children Summit

Join us at the SaferAI for Children Summit to combat AI misuse and unlock its potential for child protection innovation.

Be a catalyst for change at the inaugural SaferAI for Children Summit!

Engage in a day of important discussions about the dual role of AI in protecting children - both exploring its misuse and ways to harness AI for good.

This one-day event is hosted by the International Centre for Missing and Exploited Children Australia and is dedicated to cross-industry collaboration and innovation, to navigate the age of AI and its intersection with keeping kids safe.

We're joined by a wide array of experts, including the EU Ambassador to Australia, Acting AFP Commissioner, Dr Catriona Wallace, Grace Tame, Jon Rouse, and industry representatives from Meta and Microsoft.

The insights from these experts and more will provide important takeaways for professionals from many sectors - because by working across sectors, we create more impact!

Whether you work in government, law enforcement, academia, not-for-profits, or the tech and AI sectors - there's something on the agenda for everyone. The Summit will explore the tension between safety and privacy and data-driven solutions, AI's influence on victim-identification efforts, and the role of corporate leadership and tech innovation.

In today's rapidly changing digital landscape, it's vital to stay informed about child protection, especially as offenders misuse Generative AI to amplify their abuse. This growing concern needs urgent action.

ICMEC Australia’s SaferAI for Children Summit will not only address these dangers but also explore how AI can improve child protection.

Child sexual abuse is one of society’s most harmful crimes. It is our collective responsibility to do everything in our power to protect children from harm and prevent abuse, and this inaugural summit in Australia will focus on solutions, emphasising AI's critical role in safeguarding our children.

Join ICMEC on Tuesday 29 October in Sydney to create meaningful change!
