Radioactive waste briefing for nuclear medicine specialists

Seven of Australia’s top nuclear medicine professionals have been briefed on ANSTO’s plans to manage radioactive waste.

Seven of Australia’s top nuclear medicine professionals have been briefed on Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation's (ANSTO’s) plans to:

  • manage radioactive waste
  • support nuclear medicine innovation in Australia

It was announced that ANSTO would receive $59.8 million in the latest budget. This will enable them to deliver another interim intermediate level solid waste storage facility. 

The briefings were conducted as part of the Annual General Meeting of the Australian and New Zealand Society of Nuclear Medicine (ANZSNM).
