The 2021 National Research Infrastructure Roadmap will identify Australia’s research infrastructure needs and priorities for the next 5 to 10 years.

We are partnering with the Department of Education, Skills and Employment to develop the 2021 National Research Infrastructure Roadmap.

Dr Ziggy Switkowski AO is leading an expert working group to develop the roadmap. It will identify Australia’s research infrastructure needs and priorities for the next 5 to 10 years.

To inform the new roadmap, the working group will consult with:

  • the research community
  • universities
  • state and territory governments
  • industry and business.

The roadmap will outline national research infrastructure required over the coming decade to:

  • maintain research excellence
  • increase innovation
  • address emerging research challenges.

The final roadmap will inform the 2022 Research Infrastructure Investment Plan.

Find out more about the roadmap and how to get involved on the Department of Education, Skills and Employment website.
