We worked with some of Australia’s biggest businesses to pilot the AI Ethics Principles

We worked with six businesses including some of Australia’s biggest businesses to pilot the Australian AI Ethics Principles.

We asked them to share their experiences, the challenges they faced, and the solutions and processes they put in place. Each business had flexibility in how they approached the pilot, and many applied them alongside their existing ethical processes.

You can read about their experiences in company case studies and summaries.

The principles form part of Australia’s AI Ethics Framework, which guides businesses and governments looking to design, develop and implement AI in Australia. Businesses and governments can use the principles to:

  • achieve better outcomes
  • reduce the risk of negative impact
  • practice the highest standards of ethical business and good governance.

The principles are voluntary and aspirational. We intend them to complement – not substitute – existing AI related regulations.
