The Supply Chain Resilience Initiative (SCRI) is part of the Australian Government’s $1.5 billion Modern Manufacturing Strategy. It will strengthen Australia’s ability to access critical products and help us respond to future supply chain disruptions.
SCRI grants help Australian businesses build or scale their capabilities to address a supply chain vulnerability for a critical product.
Round 1 recipients
27 projects will share in $33 million in grants under round 1 of the SCRI.
The support will help these Australian businesses establish or scale a capability that addresses a supply chain vulnerability in medicines or agricultural chemicals.
This will strengthen Australia’s ability to access critical products necessary for our health, safety and wellbeing.
Successful projects include businesses that are:
- investing in new technology to increase production
- expanding existing facilities
- upgrading equipment.

Round 2 opening
Funding is now open under round 2 of the SCRI.
Eligible projects must address supply chain vulnerabilities in one of these critical product categories:
- semiconductors
- water treatment chemicals.
Supply chain vulnerabilities for these products are outlined in the Sovereign Manufacturing Capability Plan: Tranche 2
Eligible projects can receive grants of between $50,000 and $2 million. You will be required to match the grant amount.
These grants will help grow Australian manufacturing, create new jobs and build Australia’s economic resilience.
