We focus on competitiveness and ask: How does innovation support the competitiveness of Australian industry?
Broadly, we find that Australia’s innovation system is a mid-range performer among Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development member (OECD) countries. The evidence suggests that our innovation performance is behind, which may leave us less resilient to future global shocks.
