3. Communication Strategy

  • The Skybridge website will be used to advertise vacancies and communicate supplier requirements. Subcontractors will be encouraged to register interest through the website and complete an engagement process.

  • Skybridge will communicate opportunities through the Australian Digital Television Industry Association and provide contact details for interested suppliers.

  • Information briefings will be conducted in the local areas of project roll-out to promote the use of local subcontractors.

  • An information booklet will be published on the company website detailing requirements for participation in the project.

4. Opportunities through all tiers of supply and in all stages of the project

  • All equipment must meet Australian standards (where a standard exists). Where Australian standards are not available the relevant international standards will apply.

  • Potential suppliers will be assessed against quality and value for money in accordance with Skybridge’s ISO9001 accredited Quality Management System.

  • Skybridge will encourage subcontractors and suppliers to adopt the same requirements detailed in the AIP Plan when sourcing goods and services for this project.

  • Information on opportunities will be provided to all suppliers and subcontractors at the same time through the actions of the communication strategy.

5. Opportunities for longer-term participation

  • Engagement in this project will provide the necessary skills to access similar opportunities with future projects.

  • Subcontractors will receive Australian Quality Training Framework accredited training in:

    • CCPCOHS1001A – Work Safety in the Construction Industry

    • CPCCOHS2001A – Apply OHS Requirements, Policies and Procedures in the Construction Industry

    • CPCCCM1006A – Work Safely at Heights

  • Skybridge will encourage subcontractors to complete formal training through Integracom, a specialised telecommunications training company which will enable business to seek work across the industry.

  • Skybridge will provide feedback to unsuccessful bidders to assist with accessing future opportunities.

  • Skybridge will undertake technical consultation with Australian industry to assist in mastering new technologies.

  • Skybridge will provide in-house training and certification to suppliers and subcontractors.

6. Procedures and Resources

  • A senior staff member has been given overall responsibility for monitoring and implementing the AIP Plan.

  • Skybridge’s management systems will be used to implement the AIP Plan, manage the operations and report on outcomes achieved.
