The Global Connections Fund aimed to promote international collaboration between researchers and small to medium-sized enterprises.
The Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering (ATSE) delivered the program with support from our department.
There were 4 successful projects in round 5:
- a smart system for monitoring and quality control of dragon fruit in Vietnam’s cold freight trucks
- wound care gel promoting vascularisation and pain relief
- recycling galvanised zinc ash into high-value additives to treat wastewater
- a feasibility study for buruli ulcer topical treatment.
Our department continues to support this international collaboration through the Global Science and Technology Diplomacy Fund.
