The panel is a commitment under the Future Made in Australia agenda to support investment in green metals and help the industry decarbonise iron, steel, alumina and aluminium.
The panel members will give strategic advice on opportunities for a sustainable green metals industry.
Australia has the potential to become one of the lowest-cost producers of green metals in the world. To remain competitive we must support our iron, steel, alumina and aluminium industries to move toward sustainable manufacturing to achieve our net zero targets. We aim to position Australia as a world leader in green metals manufacturing.
