Australian AI Safety Forum 2024

A 2-day interdisciplinary forum to chart Australia's course in technical AI safety and governance.

The inaugural Australian AI Safety Forum will convene leading experts to address critical challenges in AI safety and governance. This 2-day event aims to showcase Australia's role in the global dialogue on advanced AI systems and their societal implications.

The forum will focus on topics including the foundations of AI safety, technical AI safety research, AI governance frameworks, and risk assessment methodologies. Discussions will be anchored by the International Scientific Report on the Safety of Advanced AI, discussing its findings and implications for Australian policy and research.

Distinguished international speakers and local experts will lead sessions exploring the intersection of technical research and policy development. The program will feature in-depth talks, panel discussions, and focused workshops designed to foster collaborative problem-solving and knowledge exchange.
