Introduction
The Prime Minister and the Minister for Industry and Science announced the 2024 recipients on 8 October 2024.
The prizes recognise the achievements of Australian scientists and innovators, and the benefits of their work to Australia and the world. They also recognise the critical role teachers play in inspiring students to take an interest, consider and pursue careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
