Australian Government response: Project known as Iron Boomerang inquiry and report

Introduction

The Senate Rural and Regional Affairs and Transport References Committee prepared a report on the inquiry into the Project known as Iron Boomerang.

The committees published their report in August 2023.

The Australian Government tabled this response in the Senate on 26 November 2024.

The government notes recommendations 1 and 3 and does not support recommendation 2 made by the committee in its report.

The government supports recommendation 1 of the Government Senators’ – Dissenting Report.

The government does not support recommendation 1 from additional comments by Senator Malcolm Roberts.
