The Australian beliefs and attitudes towards science survey 2017

We commissioned the Australian National University to survey Australians’ beliefs and attitudes towards science.

The surveys were conducted in 2017 and 2018. This report provides an overview of the results of the 2017 survey.

Overall, the 2017 results show the majority of people are:

  • positively inclined towards science and interested in new scientific discoveries
  • having some kind of science-related conversations regularly.
