Government response
The government notes recommendations 1–2 made by the committee in its report, additional recommendations 1–9 made by former Senator Rex Patrick and recommendation 1 made in the dissenting report by Australian Greens senators.
However, given the passage of time since this report was tabled, a substantive government response to the recommendations is no longer appropriate.
