The Australian Government is now operating in line with Caretaker Conventions, pending the outcome of the 2025 federal election.
The Anti-Dumping Review Panel received applications from GS Global Corporation (GSG) and Dongkuk Steel Mill Co, Ltd (DSM) under the Customs Act 1901 for a review of a decision by the Minister to publish a dumping duty notice in respect of Hot Rolled Plate Steel imported from the Republic of Korea.
The Anti-Dumping Review Panel also received an application from BlueScope Steel Ltd, under the Customs Act 1901 for a review of a decision by the Minister to publish a countervailing duty notice in relation to Hot Rolled Plate Steel including Quenched and Tempered (Q&T) Greenfeed Steel exported from the People's Republic of China.
Under subsection 269ZZK(1) of the Customs Act 1901, The Anti-Dumping Review Panel is required to make a report to the Minister on the application recommending that the Minister either affirm the reviewable decision or revoke the reviewable decision and substitute a specified new decision.
9 May 2014 - In regards to the applications by GS Global Corporation and Dongkuk Steel Mill Co, Ltd, The Parliamentary Secretary has affirmed the reviewable decision.
2 July 2014 - In regards to the application by BlueScope Steel Limited, the Parliamentary Secretary has affirmed the reviewable decision.
