Donna Patane is a specialist IP and business adviser. She has a decade of experience guiding business owners to use their IP and commercialise their ideas, focusing on the agriculture and enabling capabilities sectors. 

Donna is passionate about supporting regional business owners and has worked across industries with: 

• sole founders
• SMEs
• major corporations.

In the past Donna was President of NQ Angels, an angel investment group. She also took part in the Australian Government’s Entrepreneurs’ Programme. Donna often speaks and mentors in the local innovation ecosystem.

She is an admitted lawyer and registered trade marks attorney and holds a:

• Bachelor of Law (Honours) and Arts (Psychology) from James Cook University
• Graduate Certificate in IP Law from University of Technology Sydney (UTS)

Donna lives in Cairns.
